One Look, Two Ways

Getting more mileage from your wardrobe is key.  And having quick swaps you can make without too much thought is key to getting dressed quickly and getting on with your life.  Here is one great way to have one core outfit, with two very different spins.

one twoFirst, start with a column of color.  Our skinny pants (Clara Sunwoo, $79) and tank (Tees by Tina, $56), both in navy, fit beautifully and lend themselves to endless combinations.  The monochromatic look is neutral and slimming, meaning you can wear it often without it being remembered.
For the first look, top it off with a gorgeous hot pink eyelet anorak ($75), a gorgeous scarf, hot pink moccasins and a few pops of cobalt give this look a whimsical and playful look. perfect for lunch with the girls and an afternoon of shopping.

For the second look, swap the pink for a more neutral palette. Grey is a wonderful neutral and a hot color this season.  This fabulous holey cardigan (Nic & Zoe, $148) is a great go-to piece.  Add in metallic shoes, an architectural-inspired purse and streamlined jewelry and you have a sophisticated look for the office or an evening out.

The key to having an effortless wardrobe isn’t in having more clothes.  It’s in having more versatile pieces.
