Confidence: The Secret Ingredient

confidenceAs you get up and choose your clothes for the day, something that you may be forgetting is your confidence. Sure, you pull on your pants, your top, your shoes, but if you’re not bolstering your confidence in yourself then something is truly missing!

Many women struggle with lack of confidence. I, for one, did for many years and I let it hold me back. It kept me small. Made me stay in relationships that weren’t ideal. Made me tolerate things that were less than I deserved, such as a salary. I didn’t feel worthy and my low self-worth permeated everything I did.

I know first-hand how lack of confidence dictates and determines where you are in life. But the good news is that it’s in your control! Being grateful for even the most simple things such as 2 arms and 2 legs, or a roof over your head, is enough to begin to shift your whole energy and turn your focus to the positive, while realizing how blessed you truly are!

 2/ Give of Yourself – Often feeling lack of confidence keeps us from interacting with others. Take a moment and focus on something outside of yourself for a change. It’s not all about you. See who you could help, whether it’s picking up a dropped item, letting someone cut in front of you or even just lending an ear and see how making a connection to others can boost your confidence and feelings of self-worth.
