On Saturday, February 24th we’ll host a trunk show with these beautiful pieces, so come in and try on their handcrafted, artisanal kimonos and scarves.
After graduation, Woodson recalls Lisa “running up to me, saying ‘I want to make a dress of one of your paintings!’ … I had always actually had this idea that my abstract paintings would look good on a kimono. We said, ‘OK, let’s do it.’ ”
The two have bolts of fabric printed with Susan’s designs crafted at Spoonflower in Durham. Then Lisa painstakingly sews each one to perfection! The two consider this their passion project and plan to continue their collaboration for years to come!
Join us and meet these two lively spirits and see the wearable beauty they create together!
